For instance, it is used in the manufacturing of solar panels bearing that can maintain its mechanical movement for an extended period without lubricant.  Pipelines and truck bed liners made by UHMW-PE reduce its wear and avoids scaling and fouling. 
 

For marine application, UHMW-PE cables that can withstand continuous immersion in salt water with repetitive pulling and abrasion resistance.
