PET

PET features high creep resistance, toughness and stiffness, low friction coefficient, dimensional stability, rigid, high abrasion resistance, and high tenacity. It has excellent electrical insulation properties, weather resistance, good chemical stability and low water absorption with non-toxic nature. Although it can resist weak acid and organic solvent, it is unable to stand in hot water immersion and alkali resistance for a longer period.

Application: It can produce in the form of fiber and films. PET film is used as electrical insulation materials, such as capacitors, cable insulation, printed circuit wiring substrate and electrode slot insulation etc. In addition, PET is widely used in bottle packaging: from carbonated beverages to beer bottles, edible oil bottles, condiment bottles, medicine bottles and cosmetics bottles etc. Also, PET can compound with glass fiber to enhance its mechanical properties  for electronic and mechanical parts in automotive. For instance, it is used in various coil bobbins, electrical transformers, televisions, housings, automotive lamp holders, lampshades, incandescent lamp holders, relays, etc.
